About Me~
Growing up on a 21 acre farm in New Jersey gave me the start of what I feel has been a wonderful career. I remember as a young child "saving" all of the animals that stepped foot on the farm. I look back at that now and laugh because I have not changed a bit. I still want to "save" every pet in need. I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones who love what they do everyday...so many years later and it never feels like a job to me.
I moved to Kentucky about 12 years ago with the hopes of becoming a Thoroughbred racehorse trainer. I left Jersey for the Twin Spires. I will never forget the day I pulled up to Churchill Downs and entered the backside for the first time. It was 6:00 am and the Spires were glowing. Some of the most famous racehorses galloped over this dirt at one time or another. It still gives me the chills to this day.
While my love for horses will always be a part of me I decided that it was time to move into another career. I always had a passion for Veterinary Medicine. I was offered a position at a major Veterinary Hospital here in Louisville. I studied along side of the wonderful Veterinarians that I worked with and learned everything I could. Eventually, I held the Hospital Director position. This experience proved to be invaluable to me as I learned to be a person who has a keen eye for detail and a skilled businesswoman.
I decided to start Purrfect Paws Pet Sitting after having to kennel my 4 Miniature Pinschers. My girls mean the world to me and having to leave them in a place that was not familiar to them just made me worry the whole time I was away. I would have done anything to find someone who would care for them at my home as well as I do. Purrfect Paws Pet Sitting was developed because 4 little girls have me wrapped around their little paws. I know just how you feel about your furkid. It is my goal to provide your pet with the highest quality of care possible.
Warmest Regards,
